LCC Meeting Approved Second Reading Ordinance 831

At Tuesday Night’s Laurens County Council Meeting, council unanimously approved on second reading Ordinance 831, which is the Laurens County Residential Subdivision Ordinance.

This ordinance was approved on first reading at the last meeting, by title only, and according to County Attorney Sandy Cruickshanks, we are still working on the details of this ordinance, and in the meeting packet sent to council members there was extensive regulation listed which would cover every aspect of how new subdivisions would need to comply before approval.

None of these, however, were mentioned at the meeting, and the ordinance was approved again without detail.

The next reading, which is the third and final vote, will need a public comment time with advanced notice, which should contain all pertinent details.
