Bond Denied For Clinton Man Accused Of Domestic Violence, Burglary, Unlawful Conduct Towards Child

Bond is denied for a Joanna Man arrested on multiple charges. Wednesday the Clinton Police Department arrested 33-year-old Christopher Jarques Counts of Carver Street. Christopher is being charged with alleged two counts of Domestic Violence 1st Degree, two counts of Unlawful Conduct towards a Child, Burglary First Degree, and Malicious Injury to personal Property. According to the arrest warrant, on August 6th of last year Mr. Counts allegedly entered a dwelling at night time without permission, and with the intent to commit the crime of Domestic Violence. Mr. Counts allegedly struck the victim in the face and placed both hands on her neck impeding air flow. He pushed the victim on top of the child placing the child at risk. Another Domestic Violence occurred on November 6th of last year. This incident Mr. Counts allegedly grabbed the back of the victims neck and forced her to the ground. This offense occurred in the presences of two minor children. Threats were made to a child during the incident. The victim suffered from redness and minor laceration to the inside of her lip. Mr. Counts is also accused of damaging the victim’s iphone 12 in an attempt to prevent her from calling law enforcement. Christopher Counts remains in the Laurens County Johnson Detention Center.
