  • Robinson Selected as TD Club Player of the Week… Back on Tuesday the Laurens County Touchdown Club announced that Jayden Robinson had been selected as the most recent Player of the Week for his performance in the Red Devils win over Chapman in Round 3 of the SCHSL Class-AAA Playoffs… Jayden is a Junior Running Back and Defensive Back for the Red Devils… Robinson finished the night with 8 carries for 146 yards and had 2 receptions for 58 yards… A rushing TD of 77 yards made most of the TV highlight shows for his ability to maintain his balance and score after what seemed like an obvious tackle but was not (click here to see a video of that run) … Robinson now has 1066 yards rushing on the year on only 83 carries. Jayden now joins Jishun Copeland and Bryson James, who have all three now gone over 1000 yards rushing for the season… Head Coach Corey Fountain says, “Jayden is an awesome team player who comes to practice every day giving his best effort… He pushes other guys around him to be better because he always goes full speed… His work in the weight room and on the track has paid off this season for him on the football field.”
  • TD Club Annual Awards Banquet Date Changed… Jayden will be honored as Player of the Week at the Club’s Awards Banquet… The TD Club also announced that the date of the banquet has been changed due to Clinton’s continued run in the playoffs and the impact that is having on Clinton athletic schedules and other obstacles that have popped up… The new date for the banquet will be Wednesday Night January 11th at 7:00 PM at The Ridge… All other aspects of the banquet will remain the same.
