Gray Court Man Accused Of Abusing His Wife

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Gray Court Man Friday March 10^th for Domestic Violence, 3^rd Degree. 49-year-old, Donald Odell Upchurch, of Barnyard Road, was arrested for the alleged charge. According to the arrest warrant, March 10^th, Upchurch allegedly attempted to grab the victim’s throat and struck her in the face causing light redness and a small abrasion on the inside of her lip. Upchurch and the victim are legally married. This incident occurred at and address on Hwy 101 South in Gray Court. Donald Upchurch was released Sunday from the Johnson Detention Center with a paid cash or surety bond of $5000.
