Illegal Pistol Possession

An illegal weapons possession last Wednesday was charged by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday. 51-year-old Joseph Ronald Hargraves of Paul Street, Laurens was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol. A warrant alleges that on September 13th Mr. Hargraves was found to be carrying a .357 caliber Glock pistol in the driver’s side door of his vehicle. The warrant alleges that this is not in any way, shape or form a “closed compartment” or a container of the vehicle. The warrant served last Thursday also states that the defendant does not currently possess a Concealed Weapons Permit. Joseph Ronald Hargraves was later released from the Johnson Detention Center on posting a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.
