The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office served charges last Thursday from an alleged theft north of Laurens two weeks earlier. A 20-year-old Wattsville area resident was charged with Shoplifting. He’s accused of taking away various items valued at less than $2,000 from the Dollar General on US 221 North at Highway 49 on August 30th. The man was later released on a personal recognizance bond of $2,125, pending his appearance in court to face the charge.
