College Sports:
- Clemson Leaving ACC?… In case you missed it on the 11:00 pm news last night, a couple of local station reported that an article in the Charleston Post and Courier yesterday said a senior Clemson administrator said that Clemson will be moving away from the ACC “sooner rather than later”… The Post and Courier article also indicated that the potential destination for the Tigers could be the SEC but this past summer rumors were around about Clemson joining the Big 10… WSPA reported that Tigerillustrated.com reported said that Clemson will announce the move in October… The Clemson board of Trustees is scheduled to meet next week and one wonders if this subject could be on their agenda… The Post and Courier article is only available to those who subscribe to the paper and unfortunately I am not one of them… I guess Clemson figures if they are going to start losing games they might as well do it in a conference where “it just means more” (the SEC tag line).. LOL

Atlanta Braves
- Braves 6 – Cubs 5… The Braves took a 6-5 win over the Cubs in 10 innings last night and the action that took place in that 10th inning for the Braves had the Braves fans going wild and set a record… In the 10th inning the Cubs scored a single run to go up 5-4… In the bottom of the inning, Ronald Acuna Jr. singled driving in the winning run… He then stole second base to give him 70 steals in the season and thus became the first player in MLB history to have 40 homeruns and 70 stolen bases… Of course he picked up the base to carry home… Ozzie Albies then singled to right field on the next pitch and Acuna raced home sliding in just before the tag to score the winning run and everyone went wild… By the way, Ozzie Albies (32) and Marcel Ozuna (37) both homered earlier in the game and Ozuna’s homer in the 9th inning tied the game to send it into extra innings.
