Local Notes
Laurens HS
- JV Baseball… The Raider JV baseball team traveled down to Greenwood last night to play a double header of baseball against the Eagles.
-
- Eagles 9 – Raiders 4… The first game saw the Eagles out hit the Raiders 7-5 and take a 9-4 win in 5 innings… In all honesty I must also mention that the Raiders made 4 errors in the game and at least two of them figured in the Eagles scoring… The game was tied 4-4 going into the bottom of the 4th inning where the Eagles put 5 runs on the scoreboard and then they held the Raiders scoreless in the 5th to take the win… No Raider had more than 1 hit but Samuel Adams one hit was a solo homer to lead off the 2nd inning… Click here to see the box score of the game and click here to see the scorebook to see how the runs were scored.
- Eagles 3 – Raiders 2… The second game was a closer game but the Eagles won it also by a score of 3-2… The Eagles led 3-0 after 2 innings of play and held the Raiders scoreless until the top of the 5th inning where they scored their 2 runs as they attempted a comeback that fell short… The Raiders actually outhit the Eagles 4-3 with Tristan Buzbee being the only Raider with more than 1 hit as he had 2 and one of them was a double… Once again both teams had errors, hit batters and wild pitches that helped the other team score… Click here to see the box score of the game and click here to see the scorebook to see how the runs were scored… The Raider JV team is now 10-6 on the season.
