College Baseball
- South Carolina Baseball Team Adds and Loses Through Transfer Portal… Since Pail Mainieri took over the Gamecock baseball program a few weeks ago there has been a lot of movement into and out of the Gamecock baseball team through the transferee portal… The most recent count show 11 additions and 8 leaving… Most notably two Clemson baseball players have announced their intents to “change sides” in the rivalry… Nathan Hall and Nolan Nawrocki are the Tigers headed to South Carolina… I strongly suspect that Monty Lee’s staying at South Carolina as associate head coach has something to do with that…. Click here to go to an article in the State Newspaper which list those coming to and leaving the Gamecocks.
College Football
- Clemson Refuses to Move Date of South Carolina Game…. Some of you may have missed the story about Clemson refusing to move the South Carolina game from Saturday, Nov. 30 to Friday, Nov. 29 in prime time… The ACC and ESPN requested that the Tigers do that and Clemson refused… The ACC and ESPM offered the Tigers several incentives to do that but they said no… Their refusal more than likely has something to do with the lawsuit filed by Clemson against the ACC over exclusive media rights that the ACC has over the Tigers (and all other ACC schools) athletics… Personally, I think that Dabo’s wife and the other coaches’ wives told them they better not do that and mess up their Black Friday shopping day…LOL… For more information on why Clemson (and Florida State) are suing the ACC, click here.

Atlanta Braves … For more information on the game(s) below, click on the scores.
- Giants 4 – Braves 2… Last night down in Atlanta, the Giants took a 4-2 win over the Braves to take the 3-game series 2 games to 1… The Braves jumped on top early scoring 2 runs in the 1st inning on an RBI double by Ozzie Albies and a sacrifice fly by Austin Riley but that proved to be all the runs they would score… The Giants took the lead for good scoring 3 runs in the 4th inning and then adding another insurance run in the 6th inning as they held the Braves scoreless the rest of the way… Charlie Morton got the start for the Braves and he lasted only 5⅓ innings giving up the 4 runs on 5 hits… Two of the hits he gave up were homers one by Heliot Ramos and the other by Matt Chapman who also had a double that drove in a run for the Giants… The Braves start a 3-game series in Atlanta tonight with the Phillies… The Phillies are 57-30 on the season while the Braves are 47-38 and trail the NL East leading Phillies by 9 games… Three wins this weekend would do a lot to help the Braves get back in the hunt for the NL East Championship.
- Season Schedule… If you would like to see the Braves season schedule, click here… It should also show where the game will be televised if it is televised.

Greenville Drive… For more information on the game(s) below, click on the scores
- Tourist 9 – Drive 8… The news is also not good for you Greenville Drive fans as the Ashville Tourist took a 9-8 win last night at Flour Field… The wheels came off the bus early for the Drive as the Tourist scored 7 runs in the 2md inning and led 8-1 going into the bottom of the 5th inning where the Drive started a comeback scoring 3 runs… The score was 9-4 going into the 8th inning where the Drive scored 1 run and added 3 more in the 9th inning only to come up one run short of tying the game… The Tourist only outhit the Drive 8-2 but the Drive had 2 errors in the game that helped the Tourist score 2 unearned runs.

NASCAR
- Logano Wins at Nashville… Sunday Joey Logano picked up the win in the Cup Series Race in Nashville… Several things to note in his win… First the race went 31 extra laps as they were 5 overtime restarts needed to determine the winner… secondly this was his first win of the season and he punched his ticket into the playoffs with the win… Lastly, he finished just 0.068 seconds ahead of rookie Zane Smith who finished second by staying out on the last caution gambling that he had enough fuel to win the race… Click here to go to the NASCAR website where there is much more about this including the final race results.
- Standings … Kyle Larson continues to hold down the top spot in the Cup Series Driver Standings with 662 points while Chase Elliott is in second with 644 points… The rest of the top 5 are Denny Hamlin (321), Tyler Redick (611) and Martin Truex Jr. (591)… To see the driver standings for the Cup Series click here… Once you get there you can also click on links to see the standings in Xfinity and Truck Series using tabs in the upper right corner of the posting.
