- Wilder Stadium Improvement Continue… When Red Devil football fans come to Wilder Stadium for the first time this season they will note some continuing
improvement being funded by School District 56 as part of their efforts to update Wilder Stadium… One of the first things they will notice is that the old scoreboard has been replaced with a new one which has a video screen in it… The second most notable thing is that the visitor stands have been remover and are being replaced by new and safer bleachers… Also new restrooms have been constructed on the visitor’s side… Something not as noticeable to the fans but very noteworthy to the press is the upgrades to the press box… It has been refinished and remodeled to accommodate controls for the video on the scoreboard but also it is also getting a new HVAC system… If you ever have been up there at the start of football season you know it was almost impossible to leave with dry clothing due to the heat… Hats off to the district administration and board of trustees for the continuing efforts to upgrade Wilder Stadium!
