The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office announced the update of the additional charges for the man arrested for the Cross Hill Shooting Incident
18-year-old ,Jay Ariel Taylor is also being charged in connection to an unrelated incident that occurred on August 26th in Joanna. Shots were fired at a residence occupied by four people. No one was injured. Taylor is the suspect involved in this incident and as a result, he is being charged as follows:
-4 counts of Attempted Murder
-Breach of Peace, Aggravated
-Discharging a Firearm into a Dwelling
-Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime
-Malicious Injury to Real Property, more than $2,000
-Malicious Injury to Personal Property, less than $2000

It is my hope that the court system will give him plenty of time to think about his actions. In relation to the shooting that took place on August 27th in Cross Hill, Taylor has been charged as follows:
-Attempted Murder
-Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Building
-Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime
-Breach of Peace, Aggravated
-Armed Robbery
