An assault that allegedly included gunfire was alleged from a Saturday incident. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Eirick Bernardick Vance of Captain Guy Road, Clinton. A warrant was served Sunday accusing him of 1st Degree Domestic Violence from a Saturday incident. Vance is accused of hitting the victim in the face with a closed fist, which caused her face to bruise and swell. The defendant is further accused of strangling the victim to the point that she lost consciousness. He also allegedly fired two rounds from a handgun in her direction. Eirick Vance was being held earlier yesterday pending a bond hearing.
