- Richardson Receives Pre-season Honor… Recently the South Carolina Basketball Association released several pieces of pre-season information related to the upcoming high school basketball season… One of the things they did was tank the top 5 seniors in each of the classifications for both the boys and girls… Clinton’s Tushawan Richardson was named as one of the top 5 seniors in Class AA boys… This is quite an honor and we congratulate him on this but right now I am sure he has his mind concentrating on leading the Red Devil football team at his position at quarterback in their second round playoff game tomorrow night at home against the Chester Cyclones.
- Clinton Boys Picked as #7 and Girls #6 in Preseason Rankings… The same release by the SCBCA also had a preseason ranking for both boys and girls team in each classification… In Class AA boys, the Red Devils are ranked #7… The Red Devil girls are also in the top 10 in the girls Class AA rankings as they come in at #6… If you would like to see the all the various preseason list released by the SCBCA, click here to go to an article in the State Newspaper where you can find that information… I for one hope these preseason rankings are wrong because I hope at the end of the season they both are #1 winning State Championships…
Laurens HS
- Competitive Cheer Headed to the State Finals… The Raider Competitive Cher team competed in the Class AAAA Qualifier last Wednesday down at White Knoll HS and their score of 203 was the best score of the season…. That score earned them a 13th place finish and allowed them to move on to State Finals this Saturday at the Colonial Life Center in Columbia… Earlier this season the Raiders hosted a cheer competition and I was able to film their routine at that time… If you would like to see the video shot that day click here… Good Luck to the Raiders this Saturday!
