General Thomas Sumter to be Topic at the Laurens County Museum Revolutionary War Lecture Series on January 21

 The Laurens County Museum Revolutionary War Lecture Series continues on Tuesday, January 21, at 7:00 pm,  with Durant Ashmore speaking about the life, times, and military achievements of South Carolina General Thomas Sumter.  Ashmore, a historian and battlefield preservationist, will highlight the battles and events fought in South Carolina that turned the tide of the Patriots efforts toward victory.  This lecture is at the Laurens County Museum at 116 South Public Square, Laurens , SC, and is open to the public.  Museum members and youth are free to attend.  There is a suggested donation of $5 for non-members for museum support.
