- Girls: Tigers 39 – Panthers 21… In girls’ action, the Lady Tigers took a 39-21 win over a scrappy Lady Panthers… The Panthers had 2 main problems in the game… They had trouble with turnovers against the Tigers press and the Tigers Nizeria Jones who played just about the whole game and scored 24 points… They just could not stop her… The Tigers led 12-8 at the end of the first quarter and 20-10 at the half and went on to outscore the Panthers in each of the remaining quarters taking the win… The Panthers were led in scoring by Ivy Brock who had 13 points while Mahaiven Cook finished with 4 and both Brantley Brown and Kenzie Strickland finished with 2 points each… In addition to Jones’ 24 points also scoring for the Tigers Aijiah Crooks finished with 8 points, Peyton Elder 3 and both Tamia Smith and Ziriah Williams scored 2 points each.
- Boys: Tigers 66 – Panthers 8… In boys’ action, the Tigers scored 23 unanswered points to start the first quarter and at its end led 25-2 as they rolled on to a 66-8 win… The Panthers boys also had a big problem with the Tiger pressing defense as they had more turnovers in the first half than points in the game….
