- Friday, 3-21-25… Baseball host Westside at 6:30 pm
Clinton HS
- Tuesday Softball: Mid-Carolina 13 – Clinton 3… Back on Tuesday the Red Devil softball team hosted the Mid-Carolina Rebels in region action… I just received information on that game yesterday and I hate to have to report that the Rebels took a 13-3 win over the Red Devils… They outhit the Red Devils 13-4 and two of their hits were homers… To be honest, the Red Devils had a couple of errors that aided the Rebels… Halleigh Luke and Me-Me Smith each had 2 hits with Luke having a triple and Smith a double… To see the box score of the game click here and to see the scorecard to see how the runs were scored click here.
- Softball up Next… The Red Devils are now 3-4 overall and 0-1 in region play and will travel to Mid-Carolina tomorrow.
- Baseball up Next… The Red Devil varsity baseball team is now 4-3 overall and 0-1 in region play on the season and will travel to Mid-Carolina Friday night (3-21) for a 7:30 pm rematch with the Rebels
Laurens
- Softball up Next… The Raiders are 5-3 overall and 3-0 in the region and will travel to Westside today for a rematch between the two teams.
- Baseball: Laurens 8 – Westside 2… After falling to the Westside Rams Monday night at home 8-4 mainly due to errors and walks, the Raider varsity baseball team traveled to Westside last night and it was the Rams turn to have trouble with errors as they committed 4 of them to help the Raiders take an 8-2 win over the Rams… The Raiders did their part in the win as they outhit the Rams 8-3 with Noah Hughes getting the complete game win striking out 4 and walking 4… Coleman Coker and Zay Pulley also played long ball as they both had solo homers in the game…. - Baseball up Next… The Raiders will host Westside tomorrow at 6:30 pm for the rubber game of the three-game series and we do plan on brining you the game here on Real Radio WLBG.
Laurens Academy
- Baseball up Next … The Crusaders are scheduled to travel to WW King Friday.
- Softball: Spartanburg Christian Academy 8 – Crusaders 0… The Crusader softball team hosted the Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors Tuesday and yesterday I told you that the Crusaders lost 8-0 but I did not have any details on the Game… Well, I do now… The Warriors outhit the Crusades 6-2 and the Crusaders had a couple of errors and hit batters that figured into the Warriors scoring… Mackenzie Runyans and Braylee Burke each had a hit for the Crusaders and Burke’s was a triple… To see the box score of the game click here and to see the scorecard to see how the runs were scored click here…. The team is now 1-3 on the season.
- Softball up Next… I believe the Crusader softball team will travel to WW King tomorrow.
Thornwell
- Baseball: Whitmire 14 – Saints 3 (5)… Yesterday the Thornwell baseball team traveled over to Whitmire to take on the Wolverines in region action… I hate to have to report that the Wolverines took a 14-3 win over the Saints… The Wolverines only outhit the saints 7-5 but 2 Saints errors and 12 walks issued by 3 Saint pitchers plus a hit batter or two helped the Wolverines cause… Sam Robertson and Jaden Wilson both had 2 hits for the Saints and they each had a double… To see the box score of the game click here and to see the scorecard to see how the runs were scored click here.
- Baseball up Next: According to their schedule on MaxPreps, the Saints will host Whitmire tomorrow at 6:00 pm
- Softball up Next… The Saints are now 2-1 on the season and will be traveling to McCormick on Friday.

Men’s March Madness Bracket… For those of you who missed the March Madness Announcement show last night if you click here it will carry you to the NCAA website where the official bracket is located… The bracket is interactive so you can click on games of interest for more information…Of interest to local fans:
- Clemson is a # 5 seed in the Midwest Regional and will take #12 seed McNeese in Providence, RI… They will play Thursday (3-20) at 3:15 pm.
- Wofford is a #15 seed and will take on #2 seed Tennessee in the Mideast Regional in Lexington, KY… They will play Thursday (3-20) at 6:50 pm.

- DI AP Poll… The latest AP Top 25 Poll (3-169-25) some changes in the top 5 this week… Duke is still #1 followed by Houston (2), Florida (4), Auburn (3) and St Johns (6))… There were also some changes in spots 6-10 as Tennessee is now #6 followed by Alabama (5), Michigan State (7), Texas Tech and Louisville (13)… Clemson dropped from #1o to #13…To see the remainder of the top 25 click here.

- ESPN/USA Softball Poll… In the latest (3-16-25) ESPN/USA Softball Top 25, the top 5 a little change compared to last week as Oklahoma is still #1 followed by Texas, LSU (4) Florida (3) and UCLA… Spots 6-10 are occupied by Texas A&M, Tennessee, Oregon, Florida State (10) and Arizona (11) and South Carolina (9) are tied for 10th place… To see the entirety of this poll click here.

NASCAR
- Josh Berry Wins at Las Vegas… In case you missed it Sunday; Christopher Bell did NOT win the Cup series race in Las Vegas Sunday breaking his 3-race winning streak… Instead, the race was won by Josh Berry who picked up his first career win in the Cup Series… He has won twice at Las Vegas, but those wins were in the Xfinity Series… For more on this race including the order of finish for the entire field, click here.
- Driver Standings… After this race, the top 5 drivers in the Cup Series Standings are now William Byron, Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick, Chase Elliott and Alex Bowman… If you click here you will go the NASCAR posting that has the Cups Series standings from top to bottom… Once you get there you can click on tabs at the top of the page to see the driver standings in the Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series.
