  • Wednesday, 3-26-25… Baseball host Wren at 6:30 pm

Clinton HS

  • Softball: According to all the schedules I could find, the Clinton softball team was scheduled to play yesterday and if they did, I could not find any results.
    • Softball up Next… The Red Devils re now 3-5 overall and 0-2 in region play and head to Chester s today at 7:30 pm.

 

  • Baseball: Clinton 12 – Newberry 5… The Red Devil baseball team traveled down to Newberry yesterday to take on the Bulldogs… The Bulldogs took an early 3-1 lead but the Red Devils scored 2 runs in the 4th inning to tie the game…They then broke the game open scoring 6 runs in the 5th inning and 3 runs in the 6th as they went on to take a 12-5 win… The Red Devils outhit the Bulldogs 11-6 with Brett Young going 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI to lead the Red Devil attack… Luke Young and Talon Campbell also had 2 hits each in the game… To see the box score of the game click here and to see the scorecard to see how the runs were scored click here.
    • Baseball up Next… The Red Devil will travel to Chester to take on the Cyclones today at 6:30 pm.

 Laurens

  • Softball up Next… The Raiders will travel to JL Mann Wednesday (3-26).
  • Baseball: Laurens 8 – Wren 6… The Raider baseball team traveled to Wren yesterday to take on the Golden Hurricanes a team they were tied with for the Region lead with a 2-1 record… The Raiders trailed 6-2 after 2 innings of play but settled down and got to work and tied the game 6-6 with a pair of runs in the in the 6th inning… They then scored 2 runs in the top of the 7th inning to take the 8-6 win… In the 7th inning with one out, Tristan Buzbee and Brayden Patterson had back-to-back singles and then Zay Pulley doubled driving them in with what would prove to be the winning runs… The Raiders outhit the Hurricanes 9-6 and had a couple of errors that helped the Hurricanes score their runs…Pulley was the only Raider with more than 1 hit as he had 2 (single and the game winning double)… Ben Willis and Bennett Edwards hits were doubles also… To see the box score of the game click here and to see the scorecard to see how the runs were scored click here.
    • Baseball up Next… The Raiders will be at home Wednesday taking on Wren in the second game of the 3-game series with the Golden Hurricanes… We do plan on brining you that game here on Real Radio WLBG.

Laurens Academy

  • Baseball up Next … The Crusaders are now 3-2 on the season and scheduled to travel Oakbrook Prep today with first pitch at 6:15.
  • Softball up Next… The Crusaders are now 1-4 on the season and I believe the Crusader softball team will be traveling to Northside Christian Academy to take on another set of Crusaders today at 5:30 pm down in Lexington.

Thornwell

  • Baseball up Next: According to their schedule on MaxPreps, the Saints will host the Ware Shoals Hornets on Tuesday, April 1st at 7:30 pm.
  • Softball: Dixie 21 – Thornwell 0… The Saints hosted the Dixie Green Hornets and must have forgotten and left their cans of wasp and Hornet spray in the locker room as the Dixie took a 21-0 win over the Saints…. There were two main reasons for the one-sided win….First the Hornets outhit the Saints 11-3 with 3 doubles, 2 triples and 2 homes while all the Saints hits were singles… Secondly the Saints made 7 errors in the game… Madi Porter, Karleigh Porter and Madi Landrith had the 3 singles for the Saints… To see the box score of the game click here and to see the scorecard to see how the runs were scored click here.
    • Softball up Next… The Saints are now 3-2 on the season and will be traveling to Southside HS tomorrow for a 6 pm game with the Tigers

ESPN/USA Softball Poll… In the latest (3-16-25) ESPN/USA Softball Top 25, the top 5 a little change compared to last week as Oklahoma is still #1 followed by Texas, LSU (4) Florida (3) and UCLA… Spots 6-10 are occupied by Texas A&M, Tennessee, Oregon, Florida State (10) and Arizona (11) and South Carolina (9) are tied for 10th place… To see the entirety of this poll click here.
