- Boys’ Tennis: Raiders 5 – Copperheads 1… The Raider boys’ tennis team did two things on Tuesday that are a little unusual… First Coach Todd and the team took a 5-1 win in first round action of the Class 4A Playoffs… Secondly they did in the Rock Hill area where all Raider teams no matter what the sport have had trouble winning as the win was over the Catawba Ridge Copperheads… Bates Turner, Price Turner, Dylan Brink, Carson Jenkins and Gibson Partee all took wins in singles action… The team returns to second round action today as they travel to South Aiken HS to take on the Thoroughbreds…. Good Luck to the Raiders!
- Baseball: Raiders 10 – Mustangs 2… The Raider varsity baseball team closed out its regular season last night on a positive note as they took a 10-2 win over the Midland Valley Mustangs at Ed Prescott Field… The Mustangs scored an unearned run in the 1st inning and then the Raiders took the lead for good scoring 4 runs in the 3rd inning with one of the runs coming on a RBI double by Owen Pridgen and the other 3 runs were scored with the help of a couple of Mustang errors… The Raiders added 2 runs in the 4th inning when Pridgen walked and Zay Pulley hit a two-run homer… The Mustangs added a run in the 6th inning but the Raiders responded putting 4 runs on the board in the bottom of eh inning… Pridgen doubled driving in a run and Hunter Nabors singled driving in another… The last two runs were scored on a wild pitch and during a ground out for the second out… Click here to see the box score of the game and click here to see the scorebook to see how the runs were scored… The Raiders finish the season with a 20-6 overall record and will start playoff action next Monday (4-29) when they host the Northwestern Trojans at 6:30.

- Monday Softball: Crusaders 14 – Vikings 2… The Crusader softball team traveled down to Emerald HS Monday to take on the Vikings… The Crusaders jumped out to a 4-2 lead after 2 innings of play and added 2 more runs in the 5th inning and then “iced” the game in the 7th inning scoring 8 runs… The Crusaders outhit Vikings 9-1 and the only problem with the game for the Crusaders were the 4 errors they made (the Vikings had 5) that helped the Vikings score their 2 runs… Olivia Huck took the win giving up the 2 unearned runs on 1 hit and striking out 10 and walking none … The Vikings also walked 12 Crusaders and hit 3 Crusader batters… Morgan Bolding only Crusader more than hit as she had 2 hit 2-4… By the way, Crusaders stole 8 bases in the game… Click here to see the box score of the game and click here to see the scorebook to see how the runs were scored.
- Wednesday Softball: Crusaders 20 – Flashes 0… The Crusader softball team was on the road again yesterday as they traveled down to Calhoun Falls HS to take on the Blue Flashes…. Once again the news is good for Crusader fans as they took a 20-0 win… The Crusaders led 3-0 going into the 3rd inning where they erupted for 17 runs to put the nail in the Flashes’ coffin… The Crusaders outhit the Flashed 11-0 and the only thing that kept Olivia Huck from pitching a “perfect game” was the 1 walk she issued while striking out 10… Huck also had a stellar night at the plate as she went 3 for 4 with 2 homeruns and driving in 8 runs… Morgan Bolding and Abby Howard both had doubles and drove in runs for the Crusaders… Click here to see the box score of the game and click here to see the scorebook to see how the runs were scored.
